Misconduct before the Office
The Office is required to submit a report to Congress every two years providing a description of incidents that were barred from having disciplinary proceedings initiated against them because of expiration of the statutory period under Section 3 of the America Invents Act.
The report needs to include those incidents that were barred because the misconduct was made known to an officer or employee of the Office more than one year before disciplinary action was taken. It also needs to include incidents which were barred from disciplinary action by the passage of ten years since the occurrence of the misconduct.
